The new Tanabe Sustec front strut tower bar is one of the most cost efficient upgrades that can be added to your 2015 Subaru WRX/STI. Providing a very high degree of benefit in handling and stability that is felt immediately after installing, it is often one of the first modifications performed on a vehicle. The Tanabe Sustec Tower Bar has been very popular due to its low price and high functionality. By physically connecting the strut towers, the tower bar increases rigidity in that area, allowing the damping system to work as designed and minimizing changes in suspension geometry.

Eliminate Wing Bounce
Fitting perfectly between the wing and trunk lid, the PERRIN Wing Stabilizer supports your wing from excessive vibration and vertical movement, eradicating bounce in the wing. Simply place the stabilizer(s) under the wing and secure it using our 3M VHB tape. This makes installation of our stabilizer a solid yet completely reversible upgrade.
The PERRIN Wing Stabilizer has a tapering airfoil shape which reduces drag and greatly reduces the possibility of added noise. Molded from black plastic with an OEM like texture, wing stabilizers look good right out of the box or paint them for a color matched OEM look.
Recommended configurations include using a single stabilizer to eliminate wing bounce all together and two stabilizers for an aggressive WRC look. Configurations of three or more wings can be accomplished with modifications; instructions include directions on how to install up to three wing stabilizers.

The Subaru Impreza share its platform with several Subaru sub-models including the WRX, WRX STi, and the compact crossover SUV known as the Subaru Forester. The 2014 Subaru Forester combines the versatility of a small crossover SUV with the handling and fuel efficiency of a compact car. Top of the line 2014 Subaru Forester XT models received a sporty new 2.0-liter turbo charged and intercooled direct injection FA20 engine also used in the VA series 2015 Subaru WRX. The 2014 Subaru Forester XT 2.0L turbo engine is mated to a lineartronic CVT transmission with paddle shifters for a fun-to-drive crossover SUV.
AEM has a solid reputation for making Subaru cold air intake systems and the AEM cold air intake for the VA series Subaru WRX 2.0L turbo FA20 models was shown to make impressive power gains. Borrowing from the experience gained developing a 2015 Subaru WRX intake system, AEM has applied those insights to creating a 2014 Subaru Forester XT 2.0L turbo air intake 21-742C. Dyno testing shows that the AEM 2014 Subaru Forester 2.0 air intake produced an amazing estimated 23 horsepower maximum increase at the wheels of an otherwise stock Forester. This system utilizes several unique features in an effort to maintain optimal flow for performance while minimizing turbulence that can cause engine management problems. From a custom conical cloth air-filter element, we use a CFD-designed velocity stack leading to an unique air flow straightener grid. This straightener grid is specifically designed to smooth the incoming air flow as it passes the Mass Air Flow sensor for precise readings. This eliminates the “dead spots” experienced by other aftermarket intakes due to turbulence. No other aftermarket Subaru intake system utilizes these critical design elements.
In order to provide a system that looks as good on the outside as the technical advancements happening on the inside, we utilize a one piece design constructed from a high temperature plastic composite. Not only does this save weight compared to the previous metal design, the plastic composite material offers much better heat rejection properties that help keep intake air temperatures cooler. In contrast, intake systems constructed using metal castings or piping can actually retain underhood heat and in turn heat the incoming air.
The SF Air Box adds the benefits of a cold air intake to the outstanding performance of the SF Intake. The factory inlet directs cold air from the front grill to the SF Air, which encloses the SF intake. Hot engine bay air that robs horsepower is prevented from entering the intake system. This unique design also separates rainwater from the intake air, eliminating the water ingestion issues that plague in-fender cold air intakes.

Smart Piston Design
The new Smart Port piston is made from aerospace alloy, reducing the weight of the piston, and improving the response of the valve.A new military-spec coating technique is applied to the surface of the piston. This low-friction material also helps make the BOV more responsive than any previous Type 5 BOV, plus has excellent wear resistant characteristics – extending the working life of the BOV.

You probably already know that you want an intercooler with maximum cooling and minimum restriction, but when it comes to selecting the right ‘man for the job’, we think it’s important to understand why. As air is pressurized by your turbo, it heats up, not because of the heat of the turbocharger, but because when they’re compressed, the atoms in the air are forced closer together and as a result, move faster and have more energy. That energy manifests itself as heat. The more heat we can remove from the system, the denser the air becomes and that’s what helps eliminate pre-detonation, or ‘knock’, allowing for increased output from your system. Your OEM TMIC does just fine at stock boost under normal use, but as soon as you start putting some real heat into it with higher boost or harder use, it heat-soaks beyond recovery.
Predictably, both intercoolers were seeing similar Pre-IC temperatures on each run (180-190F peak), but while the GrimmSpeed Uncoated TMIC kept Post-IC temperatures between 30-40F the entire time, the OEM TMIC fluctuated between 35-75F. This is the kind of consistent cooling that you should expect from a high quality TMIC and is a function of the geometry and design of the bar and plate core. Our high density core has a massive heat transfer surface area but maintains a large enough cross-sectional flow area that there’s very little added restriction.
