Agency Power saw a need for a complete exhaust upgrade for the newly redesigned Subaru WRX and began testing. The new body style featured a completely new power plant, FA20DIT, to supply energy to the four wheels. But like most factory exhaust systems, they lack performance, sound, and tend to be very restrictive.
Starting from the front of the vehicle we designed a much better free flowing turbo manifold. Utilizing 1.5” schedule10 thick-wall stainless steel, we were able to maximize heat absorption and heat dissipation, while still being strong enough to support the weight of the turbo. The new flanges were water jetted out for precise fitment to ensure leak free junctions, 3/8” thick at the turbine side of the manifold and 1/4” thick at both exhaust port banks.
For more information on this turbo manifold, check out Agency Power.

The Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port blow-off valve is a direct replacement for the stock bypass valve on the Subaru WRX MY08-14 as well as the new Nissan Juke/Pulsar Turbo. Standard valves crack with age and heat cycling, and rely on rubber diaphragms which perish. They’re also simply not designed to handle increased boost levels. Turbosmart’s Kompact offers big blow-off valve performance in a small package. Its billet aluminium construction provides strength, while the precision-machined lightweight piston gives excellent valve response and sealing without relying on rubber diaphragms or O-rings, so it’s far more durable, and guards against compressor surge even when the boost is turned up.
The Kompact Dual Port features a 50-50 split operation between recirculating and vent-to-atmosphere. One recirc port keeps the car’s ECU happy, while one vent-to-atmosphere port gives the classic Turbosmart blow-off valve sound we know and love.

Inspiration for the StealthBox Intake came from internal discussions about what we wanted from an intake system for the 2015+ WRX. Of course performance is the highest priority, but at GrimmSpeed so much more than that goes into a product. We wanted an intake that purred quietly under normal driving circumstances, but would roar at wide open throttle. We wanted an intake that looked at home in the well-sported 2015+ WRX engine bay instead of a shoebox stuffed into the fender area. From here, the SteathBox was born. We took the concept one step further and referenced the F-117 Nighthawk as inspiration for the stealthy look of the GrimmSpeed heat shield. It should come as no surprise that the performance it packs is equally unique.

The VA series 2015 Subaru WRX is quite a departure from the previous generation Subaru WRX. The Impreza name has been dropped completely in all markets and the WRX body has taken on a more distinguished look from the standard Subaru Impreza. Most significantly changed from the outgoing 2014 WRX is the all-new 2.0L FA20DIT direct injection boxer engine and twin-scroll turbocharger. The VA series 2015 Subaru WRX is the first WRX to move away from the EJ-series engine. Drivability of the WRX has been improved thanks to the twin-scroll turbo which helps peak torque numbers come on twice as soon and makes slightly more horsepower than the 2.5L EJ engine. Also new for the 2015 WRX is a standard 6-speed manual transmission previously only available to those who stepped up to the WRX STi. This combination of the new 2.0L FA series engine, and the six-speed manual transmission, provides the 2015 Subaru WRX owner with a much different driving experience than the car it replaces.
In just its first year in production the 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L FA20DIT has become a popular platform for tuners and aftermarket upgrades. K&N has added its expertise in performance air intake systems to the must have list of bolt-on modifications for 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L models. The K&N 2015 WRX 2.0L intake, number 69-8006TTK, is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. K&N dyno testing shows that performance air intake 69-8006TTK produced an estimated gain of 9.16 horsepower at 4,800 RPM with an incredible estimated increase of 18.01 lb-ft of torque at a low, and commonly used, 3,100 RPM. These numbers represent peak estimated power gains. Significant power gains were witnessed across the entire RPM range which aids in improving the driving experience for during daily driving or a day at the race track.
The K&N air intake for the 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L positions the reusable K&N high-flow air filter in a location near the front of the car to help pull fresh air into the engine by utilizing the factory cold air ducting for superior airflow and superior performance. Bringing in cooler outside air can result in more power. The K&N RU-4960 over-sized reusable air filter is fitted to the inlet of a mandrel-bent aluminum short ram air intake tube. This K&N aluminum intake tube is protected by a flat black powder coat finish chosen in order to blend with original equipment parts under the hood of 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L models. An application specific black powder coated air filter heat shield is included in the K&N air intake system for the 2015 WRX which helps deflect engine heat away from incoming fresh air.
The K&N 69-8006TTK performance air intake system is an easy to install performance upgrade for 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L FA20DIT H4 models. By following K&N’s simple step-by-step instructions, owners of 2015 WRX models can experience more power and better acceleration in about 90 minutes or less using basic hand tools. The K&N 2015 WRX 2.0L turbo air intake system 69-8006TTK maintains all necessary factory connections and does not require additional modifications to experience a boost in performance. K&N backs its air filters and air intake systems with a 10-year/million mile limited warranty so Subaru WRX owners can rest assured knowing that their air intake upgrade will provide improved performance for years to come.
K&N Typhoon Air Intake System 69-8006TTK is guaranteed to provide an increase in horsepower and torque on the 2015 Subaru WRX 2.0L FA20DIT H4 models.

Many Subarus come with a steering dampener installed which is designed to reduce feedback from the road. This dampener allows for slop in the steering wheel that does not translate to any movement of the wheels on the road. Whether you’re turning the wheel under normal driving conditions, in a parking lot, or on the track, there is a noticeable slop in the steering wheel.
The PERRIN Steering Dampener Lockdown compresses the rubber within the dampener and fills the gap which virtually eliminates any play in the steering wheel.
The PERRIN Steering Dampener Lockdown is designed to be installed in as little as 30 minutes on a 2015+ WRX. Other models may require removal of additional parts; installation time is still less than an hour.
The PERRIN Steering Dampener Lockdown is made from precision CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum. They come anodized black and are pad printed with the PERRIN logo for corrosion resistance and a stylish finish.

These have both been a long time in the making and as the popularity of our intercooler offerings has skyrocketed recently, we’ve had a massive amount of demand for splitter options that maximize performance of our Top Mount Intercooler on the 04-08 FXT and 08-14 STI platforms. Splitters are an extremely important part of the intercooler system on a Subaru, so when you have an FXT or GR STI customer with interest in a GrimmSpeed TMIC, be sure to also suggest that they pair it with the proper splitter.

The COBB Subaru J-Pipe for the 2015+ WRX is a direct replacement unit which features full CNC mandrel bent 304 stainless steel construction, a high quality metal spun catalytic converter, and an adapter for use with the factory catback. All of these features combine into an excellent replacement for the power robbing factory unit!
The COBB J-Pipe replaces what is traditionally referred to as the “downpipe” on previous Subaru vehicles. With the relocation of the turbocharger for the 2015+ WRX, the first section of exhaust no longer requires a downward turn but instead uses a sharp “j-turn” to route exhaust towards the back of the vehicle. During testing, we discovered when running a stock cat-back with an upgraded J-Pipe, there was a resonance issue when cruising at highway speeds. Thus, we have gone a step above and beyond to offer a resonated version to our customers that want to keep their stock cat-back. You can also use the resonated J-Pipe if you want to quiet down the turboback system!

Add a bit of flair and accent your plain factory WRX engine cover with the PERRIN Engine Cover Lockdown. Although the primary purpose of this kit is to reattach your engine cover after its mounting hardware fails, it also does a great job at making your engine bay unique and stand out from the crowd.
It is very common after one or two removals of the WRX engine cover for the plastic buttons to break off. Although the engine cover can be put back after the buttons break, it will shift, move, and rattle around during driving.
Replacement engine covers from Subaru cost nearly $200. The PERRIN Engine Cover Lockdown is a simple and clean looking method for reattaching your engine cover securely after the buttons break. Even if your cover has not broken yet, this kit also performs well as a way to dress up your engine bay.
The PERRIN Engine Cover Lockdown works by installing a corrosion-resistant stainless steel bracket on the engine and creates a mounting point for the cover. After drilling two holes in the plastic cover, the cover is secured with two bolts and two billet aluminum washers for secure fitment.
For more information on this Engine Cover Lockdown, check out PERRIN.
